About Delta Chi

What is Delta Chi?

To put it in plain terms, The Delta Chi Fraternity, Inc. is a men's college social fraternity. It provides to its members the opportunity to:

  • make lasting friendships
  • better themselves scholastically using the benefit of the resources of the group
  • engage in social activities not otherwise available to them
  • participate in intramural sports
  • practice and learn leadership skills
  • network with a vast alumni base
  • generally prepare themselves for the professional world

However, to describe Delta Chi in such a plain, basic way would be to miss out on what makes Delta Chi so special and meaningful to its members.

A Fraternity Built Upon Strong Values

The four core values of the Fraternity - friendship, character, justice, and education - are the very reasons for which it exists, and are the core of how it carries out its everyday functions.

Delta Chi, originally founded as a law fraternity, these values have always been strong and very present in the operation and beliefs of its members; a man of the law must be of strong character, must strive to advance and uphold the ideals of justice, and must always ensure he has and continues to further a sound education in himself and his peers. Naturally, in a brotherhood of men striving to better themselves and each other, a strong sense of friendship was bound to grow.

An Uncommon Bond

It is easy to assume that Delta Chi is just another greek letter fraternity. Delta Chi is something so much more to its over 100,000 brothers. The men of Delta Chi share an uncommon (or, unconditional) bond that spans borders and generations. Our Brothers come from all walks of life and no two chapters are the same, but no matter where you are from, what chapter you were initiated into, when you come across another Brother there's no way to describe the instant connection and understanding the two men share. Delta Chi is Brotherhood. Plain and simple.

The Preamble

"We, the members of the Delta Chi Fraternity, believing that great advantages are to be derived from a brotherhood of college and university men, appreciating that close association may promote friendship, develop character, advance justice, and assist in the acquisition of a sound education, do ordain and establish this constitution.
